Band of the Week – Waiver Wire

Formed at the dawn of 2018 and incubating for the past two years, pop-punk quartet Waiver Wire came launching into 2020 wielding a brand new EP. “Hold Your Applause” their debut release, dropped on February 7, 2020. The Worcester, Ma natives tapped fellow Worcester-ite Alan Day of local heroes Four Year Strong to handle production and engineering duties.

The result is a blistering 4 track pop-punk delight, teeming with hooky choruses and driving guitars. Josh McKelvie (Vocals/Guitar), Giulio Lavini (Lead Guitar), Dan Bauer (Bass), and Brendan Leard (Drums) are poised to make a big impact on the scene in the new decade, and with pop-punk enjoying a low key resurgence in popularity that only seems to be growing, it seems they’ve picked the perfect opportunity to strike.
