In the 28th year of their bands history, ska-punk veterans LESS THAN JAKE are more active and relevant than ever: Recently a soundtrack contribution to the 2020 Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remake, in October the release of the suicide prevention single “Dear Me”, yesterday the surprising drop of a Stevie Wonder cover with buddies Hot Water Music and a new studio album in December!
Even after almost 30 years and an already impressive career – including 8 studio albums, tours with Descendents, Blink-182, Bon Jovi, Linkin Park, Snoop Dogg, Bad Religion and more, as well as over 365 shows on the Vans Warped Tour!
“Silver Linings” is the name of the new Less Than Jake album, their first full-length record for the Pure Noise label. The album sees itself both as a collection of acoustic diary pages and a model that Less Than Jake’s conviction consolidates after two decades in the rock’n’roll circus. In fact, LTJ frontman and guitarist Chris DeMakes, bassist / vocalist Roger Lima, trombonist Buddy Schaub, saxophonist Peter “JR” Wasilewski, and new drummer Matt Yonker are most (but not all) forms of boredom, depression and violence escaping against objects on flickering screens to create a commitment to humanity.
“We made a new album! Our first album with our new drummer Matt Yonker, and it sounds great, ” says singer/guitarist Chris Demakes. ” More hooks, loads of horns and the bombastic, euphoric energy we’re known for. We haven’t tried to reinvent the wheel, it’s definitely still Less Than Jake. Just a little more punchy and in-your-face . We can’t wait for our fans to hear it! “
